MSC Cruises Debuts New Spa Wellness Experiences Fleetwide

Wellness-focused food, experiences, and offerings are hot-ticket items in travel trends right now. Resorts and cruise ships alike are increasingly offering specialized fitness classes, unique spa experiences, and restaurants serving dishes made with fresh, whole foods. MSC Cruises has taken notice, introducing what it’s calling a “new era of wellness at sea.”

Launching across the fleet throughout this year, the line is enhancing its MSC Aurea Spa experience. The new offerings will bring together luxury spa rituals, advanced skincare technologies, medical wellness services, and personalized treatments that are typically available at top wellness resorts.

According to MSC, wellness tourism is now one of the fastest-growing segments of the global travel industry, and MSC is responding by creating an experience that allows guests to relax, recharge, and invest in their well-being.

New MSC Spa Experiences

Highlights of MSC Cruises’ new Aurea Spa experience include:

  • Available on select ships staring this summer in North America, MSC will be offering services including IV therapy, aesthetic injectables, dermal fillers, and permanent makeup performed by licensed professionals
  • Cutting-edge hydro-microdermabrasion and premium skincare solutions from Opatra London
  • Personalized skin assessments providing tailored treatment recommendations and product guidance
  • A relaxing scalp and hair ritual inspired by traditional Japanese wellness practices, rolling out across the fleet
  • Advanced whitening treatments using the latest technology
  • Men’s grooming experiences including scalp consultations and therapeutic massage treatments
  • Piercing services using hypoallergenic jewelry
  • A curated menu of wellness teas from Team Dr Joseph before or after treatments

In addition, from this summer onward, select MSC Aurea Spa guests will receive a premium wellness pouch featuring branded flip-flops, shaving kits, and other wellness amenities.

Another wellness offering aboard select MSC ships (specifically the World-class ships) that I think is worth mentioning is the Zest Juice Bar. It offers raw juices, made-to-order smoothies, and protein shakes. While true juice bars can be found on other cruise ships, they’re few and far between. An entire bar dedicated to fresh juice and smoothies is an excellent wellness amenity for anyone who loves a daily boost or quick pick-me-up drink loaded with lots of nourishing ingredients.
