Celebrity River Cruises Reveals Pre and Post-Cruise Land Tours
Celebrity Cruises’ new river cruising arm, Celebrity River Cruises, has revealed today a series of pre- and post-cruise experiences called Before and After Stays. 2027 programs in Prague and Budapest with the addition of Amsterdam and Lausanne in 2028 are now open for booking.
An extension of the onboard experience, each two or three-night stay offers locally-led, immersive discovery experiences — which include one Discovery Collection tour each day. Celebrity River Cruises’ take on shore excursions, Discovery Collection tours are experiences built around each city’s most rare and authentic stories.
Visitors can choose one of at least three themed tour options each day, allowing them to explore each city through their own interests. Those leading the tours will be Local Storytellers and Destination Insiders.
Celebrity says that Local Storytellers are local experts, not tour guides. They lead small groups on one included tour per day, going beyond landmarks to moments that are part of everyday local life. Destination Insiders act as trusted local friends, with extensive knowledge of each city to help travelers find authentic experiences there.
Example Tours
In Amsterdam, an artist who lives in the city will lead guests through Amsterdam’s street art scene. This Local Storyteller will take visitors to the city’s creative districts, where murals and evolving walls show how Amsterdam has protected creative freedom. The day will end with guests picking up a spray can themselves and co-creating a piece on the wall, transforming them into active participants in the city’s creative expression.
In Prague, visitors who are drawn to history and mystery might follow the mystical trail of alchemists and ancient scholars through Gothic spires and hidden symbols. History buffs can descend into Prague’s shadowed defenses — medieval walls, secret bunkers, and Cold War shelters. Those who best discover a destination through food and drink can trace the city’s culture through centuries of Czech beer heritage and historic taverns.
A Seamless Experience
Before and After Stays are an extension of Celebrity River Cruises’ premium onboard experience. They feature centrally-located, high-end accommodations and daily destination programming. Optional premium experiences will also be available. Before and After Stays also include daily breakfasts and ship transfers.
Open For Booking
With 33 sailings in 2027 and 160 sailings in 2028, Celebrity River Cruises will take passengers to over 50 destinations along the Rhine and Danube. Before and After Stays for these voyages are now open for booking.
