Silversea Cruises Reorganizes Suites Into Four Main Categories, Adds New Perks

Luxury cruise line Silversea has announced that it has reorganized its 17 suite types into four main categories.

The new Oceanview, Veranda, Residence, and Villa categories will each provide their own set of comforts, building onto Silversea’s existing inclusions such as butler service, 24-hour room service, free wifi, multiple dining options, beverages, and gratuities.

Oceanview and Veranda Categories

The Oceanview Category includes Panorama and Vista suites, which feature large windows with expansive ocean views.

The Veranda Category includes Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda, and Veranda suites, each with a private balcony.

Residence Category

The Residence Category includes Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion, and Medallion suites, offering separate bedroom and living spaces. Passengers staying in a Residence category suite can also take advantage of priority embarkation on Classic voyages and early reservations access: 210 days prior to sailing for spa treatments, and 150 days prior to sailing for dining reservations.

Villa Category

The Villa Category includes Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand, and Royal suites. These are Silversea’s most expansive accommodations, featuring generous living spaces and large terraces.

Villa suites also come with a slew of added benefits and perks. On top of what’s included in the Residence Category, Villa suites include:

  • Signature arrival experience: On Classic Voyages, a private transfer is offered to travelers who book airfare through Silversea. They also receive priority embarkation on Classic Voyages, early suite access, and a welcome escort.
  • Private consultations: One-on-one time with the ship’s chef, sommelier, and spa manager to personalize dining, wine pairings, and wellness goals.
  • Signature experiences: A selection of curated moments, including a chef-selected in-suite dining experience, an in-suite afternoon tea, a stargazing evening with Champagne and caviar, in-suite cocktail celebrations for hosting guests, and a cigar-and-whiskey pairing.
  • In-suite wellness: A Technogym exercise bag which includes a yoga mat, resistance bands, and a roller, available in every Villa Category suite.
  • Priority Destination Expert access: Dedicated planning support for flights, hotels, shore excursions, Land Programs, and City Stays by Silversea, ahead of departure.
  • Extended stay: At select debarkation ports on Classic Voyages, passengers will enjoy continued access to dining, beverages, and onboard spaces on the final day, with luggage stored and Wi-Fi active until the ship’s next departure.
  • Expedition-exclusive benefits: On Expedition Voyages, those staying in the Villa Category can gear up and head out on their own schedule with Flexible Zodiac Departure, joining their preferred Zodiac group. They can also secure priority entry to a kayaking session of their choice and get behind-the-scenes access to expedition operations alongside onboard experts.

Silversea’s new suite categories will be available to book starting September 16, 2026. The enhanced benefits will apply to sailings departing on or after January 1, 2027 across both the classic and expedition fleets.
