Headlining the schedule is Azamara Onward‘s return to Africa and the Indian Ocean following several years away from the region. The ship’s schedule includes South Africa, East Africa, and West Africa, with visits to 27 countries throughout the season.

A standout destination is Jamestown, Saint Helena, a remote island in the South Atlantic with a rich history, including its association with Napoleon Bonaparte’s exile. Travelers can also discover the Indian Ocean’s Vanilla Islands, including the Seychelles, Mauritius, RĂ©union, and Madagascar.

Azamara Journey in the Med

Azamara Journey will ply the waters of the Mediterranean during the region’s slow season, as well as Iberia and the Canary Islands. Visiting 16 countries and 65 ports of call, Journey offers opportunities to visit destinations with fewer seasonal crowds and a closer connection to everyday local life.

Select itineraries include three consecutive days in Alexandria, Egypt, providing additional time to explore the country’s ancient wonders. Other special moments include an overnight stay in Marseille over Christmas Eve and an overnight in Çanakkale, Turkey.
