Carnival Firenze Heads to Caribbean in 2027, After South America Voyages

Carnival Cruise Line has opened reservations for a slate of 2027 sailings aboard Carnival Firenze, including a spring Caribbean season from Miami and three repositioning cruises across South America. The “Fun Italian Style” ship will shift from the West Coast to the East Coast as part of Carnival’s upcoming deployment.

Beginning in February 2027, Carnival Firenze will homeport in Miami through May. Travelers can pick from four-day Bahamas escapes that stop at RelaxAway (Half Moon Cay) and Celebration Key. There are also six- and seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries with calls in Cozumel, Belize, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay, Isla Tropicale and Roatán.

Half Moon Cay will be enhanced and renamed 'RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay.' Carnival and Holland America (and maybe others) will use the private island jointly.

Travelers wanting more time at sea can choose voyages of 10 to 13 days. These longer sailings head south to Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Croix, Grenada, Barbados, Antigua and Martinique.

Before settling in Miami, Carnival Firenze will cross South America on three distinctive repositioning cruises. The first leaves Long Beach on January 4, 2027, bound for Santiago, Chile. This 15-day itinerary includes stops in Mexico, Ecuador and Peru, plus an Equator crossing.

On January 19, the ship continues on a 14-day cruise from Santiago to Buenos Aires. Along the way, passengers will enjoy scenic cruising through the Chilean fjords, Darwin Channel and Cape Horn, as well as port calls in Ushuaia, Puerto Madryn and Montevideo.

The final repositioning voyage departs February 2 on a 16-day trip from Buenos Aires to Miami. On this cruise, passengers will have a chance to view an annular solar eclipse at sea.

Carnival Firenze has a distinctive history. Built by Fincantieri in 2020, she first sailed for Costa Cruises as Costa Firenze. In 2024, the vessel joined the Carnival fleet as one of two “Fun Italian Style” ships alongside sister ship Carnival Venezia.

The 133,500-gross-ton ship measures 1,055 feet and carries nearly 4,000 passengers at double occupancy. Onboard, Carnival favorites blend with Italian-inspired flair. Dining highlights include Il Viaggio, a specialty restaurant celebrating regional Italian cuisine, and Guy’s Burger Joint with a Mediterranean twist. Bars such as Amari, Moda and Frizzante serve themed cocktails, while Playlist Productions light up the Teatro Rosso Theater. Poolside deck parties and piazza-style events add to the ship’s festive spirit.
