Celebrity Edge arrived in Sydney today to begin her third Australia season. The 130,818-gross-ton ship recently completed a 19-night transpacific crossing from Honolulu and will operate 17 sailings through April 2026.

The season is designed with Australian and New Zealand travelers in mind. Americans sailing on these itineraries will find themselves immersed in the region’s laid-back coastal culture and convivial mindset.

Travelers can choose itineraries ranging from four to 14 nights, departing from both Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand. Seven voyages focus on New Zealand, including a 13-night Holiday Cruise through Milford, Doubtful, and Dusky Sounds with calls across both islands. Another highlight is a nine-night Australia Wine Journey visiting Hobart, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

This year’s program introduces 54 new shore excursions, among them Celebrity Edge’s first-ever visit to Newcastle in December. Celebrity Cruises says travelers can join a coastal sculpture walk paired with a wine-tasting lunch at this maiden port. The ship will also offer a new wellness-focused excursion at Wellington’s Mangaroa Farm, which combines yoga with refreshments featuring fresh ingredients from the farm.

The Edge Experience

At 1,004 feet long and accommodating up to 2,918 passengers across 1,467 staterooms and suites, Celebrity Edge is the first of Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Series. Her sister ships — Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Ascent, and the upcoming Celebrity Xcel, scheduled for November 2025 — share the same signature design built around outward-facing spaces and expansive verandas.

The ship’s Magic Carpet is the world’s first cantilevered floating platform at sea and moves between decks to serve as a lounge, bar, or dining venue. Its Infinite Veranda staterooms expand living space with floor-to-ceiling glass that opens to the ocean at the touch of a button.

Celebrity Edge features 29 restaurants, bars, and lounges, along with the Eden venue, a Rooftop Garden amphitheater, and a wellness-focused spa offering more than 120 treatments.

Celebrity Edge’s current Australia season runs through April 2026.
