Majestic Princess to Cruise South America and Antarctica in Winter 2027-28

Princess Cruises has opened bookings for its 2027-28 South America season, with Majestic Princess sailing a series of itineraries across the region’s austral summer, beginning November 21, 2027.

The program runs through January 2028 and includes six departures across four itineraries. Five sailings range from 15 to 17 days within South America, while one includes a transatlantic crossing for a combined 37 days. Cruises depart from Buenos Aires, Argenitina, and San Antonio, Chile, a coastal port located about 60 miles (100 km) from Santiago de Chile, the country’s main international air gateway.

These itineraries also include Glacier Alley and the Beagle Channel, along with overnight stays in Buenos Aires.

Three 17-day Antarctica sailings operate roundtrip from Buenos Aires, extending into the Antarctic Peninsula with multiple days of scenic cruising among glaciers and wildlife-rich waters. These voyages include a call in Ushuaia before crossing into Antarctic regions.

Land extensions with Majestic Princess

Princess is also offering cruisetours that combine the voyage with two of South America’s most well-known landmarks.

The Machu Picchu Explorer includes a six-night land program in Peru, with time in Lima, the Sacred Valley, and Cusco before visiting Machu Picchu, the 15th-century Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains.

The Iguazu Falls Adventure includes a five-night land stay spanning Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, and Rio de Janeiro, offering access to the extensive waterfall system that stretches across the border of Argentina and Brazil, along with time in two of the region’s major cities.

According to Princess’ website, South America cruisetour travelers can receive savings of up to $1,500 per stateroom and shore excursion credits of up to $800. The offer is valid for bookings made between March 24 and May 31, 2026.

The update introduced new and refreshed spaces, including O’Malley’s Irish Pub, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, the Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar, Alfredo’s Slice, and the Salty Dog Café, along with updated bars such as Bellini’s cocktail bar.

The ship accommodates 3,560 passengers and measures 1,083 feet in length, with 1,780 staterooms. Onboard amenities include three main dining rooms, specialty and casual restaurants, and entertainment venues such as the Princess Theater and the outdoor Movies Under the Stars screen.
