Azamara Opens Bookings For the Longest World Cruise of 2029

Looking to take an epic 195-night cruise around the world? Azamara Cruises‘ 2029 World Cruise might just be the ticket! The line announced today that bookings are now open for the highly-anticipated sailing, which will see Azamara Quest setting sail on January 3, 2029 from San Diego, California. The voyage will conclude on July 17 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

For the first time ever, as part of its 2029 World Cruise offering, the line is introducing three ways to experience the adventure, with two extra-long segments also available that are 179 and 139 nights long. These longer segments will open for booking on October 14, 2026.

This 195-night voyage will be the longest world cruise available in 2029 from any cruise line. It will visit 40 countries across five continents, and 65 percent of the time will be spent in port. 16 overnight stays and 60 late-night stays provide lots of opportunities for experiencing nightlife in places including Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, and Cork, among others.

A Path Forged

The journey will begin in San Diego before heading west to Hawaii and deep into the South Pacific. In French Polynesia, passengers will experience multiple overnight stays in Mo’orea, Papeete, and Bora Bora.

The journey continues into Oceania, as the ship visits 11 ports in New Zealand and 12 in Australia. Then, passengers will head north, moving through Indonesia, Singapore, China, and Taiwan, with multiple overnight and late-night calls.

In Japan, Azamara Quest will visit nine ports, including the highly-rated Hiroshima. The sailing will continue across the Pacific to Alaska, south to the Pacific Northwest, then onward through Central America and the Panama Canal to Colombia and Florida.

Before heading across the Atlantic to Ireland, the ship will head north to New York City. Once across the pond, the ship will meander through 12 countries in northern Europe before arriving in Copenhagen.

This epic global journey will include 15 AzAmazing Evenings, offering guests exclusive opportunities to experience the destinations they visit through special events and immersive cultural programming. Additional World Cruise-exclusive events and select Overland Experiences will also be available.

Shorter Options

As mentioned, there will be two shorter ways to experience the world cruise:

• The 179-night journey from San Diego to London will sail from January 3 to July 1, 2029, spanning five continents with 52 late nights, 16 overnight stays, and 12 maiden ports.
• The 139-night journey from Sydney to Copenhagen will sail from March 1 through July 17, 2029, also spanning five continents with 43 late nights, 11 overnight stays, and four maiden ports.

In addition to those two extra-long segments, there will be 16 individual segments available that range from seven to 20 nights. These segments will all open for booking next year.
