Holland America Line Unveils 2027 Canada & New England Season
Holland America Line announced its 2027 New England and Canada cruises program, filled with coastal charm, national parks and delicious regional flavors. The program introduces a brand-new cruise celebrating the region’s iconic lighthouses, alongside returning favorites that highlight French heritage and rugged natural beauty.

From May through October 2027, Volendam and Zuiderdam will operate 20 cruises across 13 itineraries, ranging from seven to 14 days. Most voyages begin or end in Boston, Massachusetts, or Montréal, Québec. Nearly every itinerary also features scenic cruising along the St. Lawrence River.
Lighthouses, Lobster and a Little New France
A standout addition is the nine-day “Lighthouses & Harbors of Canada and New England” cruise aboard Volendam. Departing October 2, 2027, from Montréal to New York City, this itinerary visits up to 10 lighthouses. Highlights include Nova Scotia’s Peggy’s Cove, Maine’s Portland Head Light, and calls in Halifax, Charlottetown and Bar Harbor.

Travelers interested in French-Canadian culture can select the 10-day “Canada & New England Circle: New France and Montréal.” This roundtrip voyage from Montréal visits Québec City, Saguenay, Prince Edward Island, St. Pierre and St. John’s. For nature enthusiasts, the 11-day “Canada & New England Circle: Maritimes and New France” features five national parks, including Gros Morne in Newfoundland and Jacques-Cartier near Québec City.
Local Flavors, On Board
Additionally, regional flavors play a starring role on board. Holland America says the menus will feature Maine lobster, Prince Edward Island mussels, creamy clam chowder and poutine. Passengers can also enjoy a Québec-inspired cheese and wine celebration during select sailings.
Early booking incentives are available through the Have It All package, which bundles shore excursions, specialty dining, beverage upgrades, Wi-Fi and prepaid crew appreciation.
