Carnival Debuts First Non-Alcoholic Drink Package
Carnival Cruise Line has launched the Carnival CHEERS! Zero Proof non-alcoholic drink package, giving passengers more variety and choice at sea.
Announced yesterday, the package includes sodas, juices, bottled water, premium coffees and teas, smoothies, energy drinks, milkshakes, alcohol-free beer and sparkling wine, along with handcrafted zero-proof cocktails. It is available now for advance purchase online and will roll out for onboard sales in the coming weeks.

Passengers must buy the package for the full length of their cruise. And certain drinks, including alcohol-free beer, wine, and mocktails, are restricted to those 21 and older.
Catching the Sober Wave
Carnival is the last of the major mass-market cruise lines to introduce a full non-alcoholic package. Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and MSC Cruises have long offered bundles that include mocktails, smoothies, premium coffees and other upscale options. Until now, Carnival only sold Bottomless Bubbles, a limited program covering soda and juice.

The launch comes as drinking habits continue to shift across the United States. A 2025 Gallup poll found that only 54 percent of adults now say they drink alcohol, the lowest level in more than 80 years. That means 46 percent abstain entirely. Among young adults ages 18 to 34, nearly half now choose not to drink, compared with 41 percent just two years earlier. More than half of Americans also believe even moderate drinking is harmful to their health.
More Mocktails, Less FOMO
With more passengers identifying as sober, sober-curious or simply health conscious, demand for elevated alcohol-free choices is on the rise. By moving beyond soda and juice, Carnival is catching up to competitors in aligning its onboard offerings with today’s lifestyle trends.
