Crystal Announces 2028 Voyages for New Ship Crystal Grace and Crystal Serenity
Crystal Cruises has announced inaugural details for its upcoming new ship, Crystal Grace, outlining plans for her 2028 inaugural year. Grace is scheduled for delivery on May 31, 2028, and will begin service on June 11, 2028, cruising from Rome to Venice.

The ship will spend her first summer season in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic to New York City in September. Grace will then cruise New England and Canada itineraries, followed by a Caribbean program to close out the year. Crystal said the ship’s inaugural 2028 season will go on sale in April 2026, with a waitlist opening soon.
According to the line, Crystal Grace represents the next step in the brand’s approach to luxury cruising. The 61,800-gross-ton ship will accommodate 650 passengers and feature 337 all-suite, all-veranda accommodations. Crystal said the ship has been designed to deliver an elevated residential feeling, shaped by passenger feedback.
Residential-style design has become a broader trend across luxury cruising. Several high-end lines like Regent, Silversea, Seabourn and Explora have highlighted apartment-style layouts in recent newbuilds. The design trend focuses on creating spaces that feel comfortable and livable over longer voyages, rather than traditional hotel-style cabins.
The suites aboard Crystal Grace were designed by architectural firm GEM, with overall art direction and interior design by Milan-based Studio Ibsen. Crystal previously engaged GEM for the refurbishment of Crystal’s existing fleet for brand’s relaunch. For Grace, the design approach emphasizes expansive verandas, enhanced storage and flexible spaces designed to support longer voyages.
Crystal Serenity’s Early 2028 Season
Crystal also announced early 2028 Caribbean and extended itineraries for Crystal Serenity, beginning with a roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale. Ports include destinations such as the British Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Cartagena, Colombia and Costa Rica.

In February, the ship will continue a 25-day Amazon River voyage, with calls in Manaus and visits to remote river communities. Crystal said select sailings may be combined to create a longer Caribbean voyage, spanning 14 Caribbean islands and five countries in Central America.
Crystal Serenity will continue Caribbean itineraries in March and April before embarking on a transatlantic crossing to the Azores. Following the crossing, the ship is scheduled to enter dry dock for planned enhancements.
Crystal said additional details about its 2028 plans will be shared in the coming months.
