Noordam to Debut New Japan Ports in Holland America’s 2027–2028 Asia Season

Noordam will sail an expanded Asia program from September 2027 through April 2028, visiting new destinations across Japan and Southeast Asia, according to Holland America Line.

The season features 15 itineraries ranging from 13 to 15 days. Noordam will make maiden calls at three Japanese ports: Hitachinaka, Nagoya, and Maizuru Bay. The line notes that her mid-sized design allows access to smaller harbors such as Jeju in South Korea and Boracay in the Philippines. The 82,318-ton Noordam measures 936 feet in length.

Passengers can also opt for overnight stays in six key ports, including Halong Bay, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, Osaka, and Shanghai. These land-breaks invite deeper exploration, from sunset cruises and night markets to historic temples and waterfront landmarks.

Each itinerary blends Japan’s cultural highlights with the scenic beauty of Asia’s coastlines. Voyages such as the 14-Day Circle Japan, 14-Day Far East Discovery, and 14-Day Southern Japan showcase a variety of regional experiences. The season also includes a 13- or 15-day North Pacific Crossing linking Seattle, Tokyo, and Vancouver.

Dining on board Noordam will highlight local flavors through Holland America’s Destination Dining program. The line says menus will feature regional favorites such as Japanese sushi, Korean bibimbap, and Filipino adobo. Noordam will also offer two pop-up restaurants: Taste of Tamarind pan-Asian restaurant, and Morimoto by Sea, a partnership with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto.
