Princess' 2028 Alaska Season to Include 8 Ships, 14 Itineraries

Princess Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 season in Alaska, which will include eight ships operating 14 different itineraries. The line’s current newest ship, Star Princess, is part of the 2028 Alaska lineup.

2028 Alaska Season Highlights

The 2028 Alaska season will include 185 individual cruise departures, on voyages ranging from four to 16 days long. The eight ships sailing in the region will be Star, Discovery, Emerald, Royal, Coral, Crown, Island, and Ruby Princess.

Homeports for the season will be Seattle, Vancouver, Whittier (the port for Anchorage), San Francisco, and Los Angeles. This means that people all along the Pacific Coast will have easy driving access to a cruise port for an Alaska cruise.

Princess Cruises’ celebrated Voyage of the Glaciers itineraries will remain a hallmark of the Alaska season, sailing between Whittier and Vancouver. These one-way voyages showcase some of Alaska’s most beautiful scenery, including visits to Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan, with many itineraries featuring two glacier-viewing experiences and opportunities to combine the cruise with an immersive land-based cruisetour.

Of course, a variety of roundtrip Inside Passage voyages will also be offered, departing from Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. These itineraries are ideal for first-time Alaska cruisers, providing a convenient way to experience the region’s glaciers, wildlife, and coastal communities.
