Victory II docked at Port of Detroit

Travel writer Susan Young of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, caught this splendid shot of Victory II as she returned from a day ashore in Detroit, Michigan.
Describing the reboarding of Victory II at ports of call as “easy peasy,” Susan tells us that “within minutes of crossing the gangway, I had dropped my gear in my cabin and nestled into Victory II’s Compass Lounge. Victory II also offers a down-home ambience, superb dining and friendly crew members”
This small, 190-passenger ship along with sister Victory I relaunched for Victory Cruise Lines on the Great Lakes earlier this summer. Led by John Waggoner, founder and CEO, this small-ship line is offering 33 Great Lakes departures in 2025 that touch all five Great Lakes in one voyage.
Victory II was cruising an 10-night itinerary, including stops in Escanaba, Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie and Detroit, all in Michigan; Cleveland, OH; and Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada (for Niagara Falls).
