Crystal Reveals Name of Its First New Ocean Ship in 25 Years: Crystal Grace

Crystal has officially announced the name of its new-build ocean ship: Crystal Grace. The reveal marks a major milestone for the brand and signals a new era under the ownership of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group. This is Crystal’s first new ocean ship in 25 years and represents the company’s most ambitious step forward since its recent relaunch.
A New Chapter for Crystal
Crystal Grace is scheduled for delivery in May 2028. Her inaugural voyage will take place on June 11, 2028, following a series of preview sailings. The ship is positioned as the next evolution of Crystal’s luxury philosophy, combining modern design with the polished, heritage-driven experience the brand is known for.
Crystal selected the name “Grace” to represent the ship’s refined aesthetic, calm atmosphere and the smooth, seamless style of service that defines the Crystal experience. The choice reflects Crystal’s intention to honor its legacy while shaping the brand for a new generation of luxury travelers.
Ship Details and Capacity
Crystal Grace will measure 61,800 gross tons and carry 650 guests based on double occupancy. All accommodations will be suites. The ship’s design will emphasize space, quiet and personalized service supported by one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in the segment. A full wraparound promenade will extend the length of the ship, offering uninterrupted ocean views for walking and relaxation.
Elevated Dining and Onboard Experiences
Crystal is investing heavily in culinary partnerships for Crystal Grace. Guests will find:
- Umi Uma, the only Nobu concept at sea
- Beefbar, another exclusive dining venue
- Signature dishes from the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers at Osteria d’Ovidio
All dining venues will be included in the voyage price. Additional entertainment, activity spaces and lounges are expected to reflect Crystal’s more modern direction while retaining the warmth and familiarity longtime guests appreciate.
Land Programs Curated by Abercrombie & Kent
Abercrombie & Kent will play a major role in shaping the land experiences for Crystal Grace. A&K’s global network of destination management companies will curate a collection of exclusive excursions and events around the world. Crystal remains the only cruise line with a fully integrated, in-house DMC network of this scale.
What’s Next for Crystal Grace

Crystal will announce suite categories in December, with more details on interior design, new amenities and the official inaugural itineraries rolling out over the coming months. The 2028 inaugural season is scheduled to open for sale in April 2026, with a waitlist launching soon.
