Crystal’s New Owner’s Suite Reveal Has Us Taking a Closer Look

Crystal Cruises has been steadily sharing updates about Crystal Grace over the past several months. The recent announcement of a first-ever Owner’s Suite for the brand, with an interior area of 1,950 sq. ft. and a veranda that is slightly larger, made us pause and take a closer look.

The ship marks Crystal’s first new ocean build in 25 years and the first developed under the ownership of A&K Travel Group. Crystal has confirmed that several dining concepts are planned and said the ship will maintain one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in its segment, along with a continuous promenade encircling the ship. However, details remain limited beyond accommodations.

So, armed with a growing library of renderings, we’re revisiting everything released about Grace to date. We wanted to see how the full picture is coming together ahead of her scheduled delivery on May 31, 2028.

Here’s what we know.

Suites With a Sense of Grace

Crystal Grace will offer 337 suites, all with private verandas. Overall art direction and interior design were led by Milan-based Studio Ibsen.

The newly introduced Owner’s Suite will offer a combined 3,915 square feet of private interior and veranda space. The layout includes a living room with a library and fireplace, a dining area with a butler pantry and personalized bar service, and a master bedroom with walk-in closets and convertible sleeping arrangements. The bathroom will be finished in Italian Lasa marble and include a freestanding Jacuzzi, while the veranda will feature a private whirlpool, shower and outdoor dining area. The suite will also include a Technogym Bike Personal.

Penthouse Suites offer approximately 1,220 square feet of interior space. Four midship Penthouses include 659-square-foot verandas, while four aft ones stand out with expansive 982-square-foot wraparound verandas.

Six Junior Penthouse Suites measure between 740 and 845 square feet of interior space. Two forward-facing Junior Penthouse Suites include larger 602-square-foot wraparound verandas. Penthouses and Juniors include separate living and dining areas and bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs and separate showers. They also include unlimited specialty dining and laundry service.

Sapphire Suites offer between 461 and 537 square feet of interior space, each paired with 113 square feet of veranda space. Some also feature 344-square-foot wraparound verandas.

Aquamarine Veranda Suites offer 418 square feet of combined interior and exterior space, with ADA-equipped versions offering eight additional square feet. The Guest Room with Veranda offers 287 square feet of combined interior and exterior space.

Across all categories, suites aboard Crystal Grace will include butler service, along with a curated pillow menu and bed linens by Jesurum 1870.

A Taste of Grace

Grace will include several of the brand’s existing restaurant concepts. These include Umi Uma®, Crystal’s Nobu restaurant and the only Nobu restaurant at sea, as well as Beefbar, the only location of the Monaco-based restaurant brand operating on the ocean. Osteria d’Ovidio will showcase menus created by Michelin-starred Italian chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo.

The Making of Grace

Crystal Grace is being built by Fincantieri in Italy and is set to measure 61,800 gross tons and accommodate 650 passengers at double occupancy. Cruise ship architectural firm GEM is leading the ship’s architectural development. Crystal previously engaged GEM to refurbish its existing fleet following the brand’s relaunch.

The name was announced in November, and Crystal said it reflects the ship’s aesthetic and onboard experience. Shore programming will be delivered through the group’sAbercrombie & Kent brand.

Where Grace Will Go

Construction milestones are scheduled to begin with steel cutting in May 2026, followed by keel laying in December 2026. Delivery is planned for May 31, 2028, with preview sailings to follow.

The inaugural voyage will depart June 11, 2028. That first season will begin with a Rome-to-Venice sailing before the ship spends summer in the Mediterranean. Crystal Grace will then arrive in New York in September and operate voyages in the Northeast and Canada, later transitioning to the Caribbean to close out the year.

The inaugural 2028 season is scheduled to go on sale in April 2026, with a waitlist opening in advance.

We will continue monitoring updates from the company and share more as further aspects of Crystal Grace are unveiled.
