Crystal Symphony to Undergo November Drydock for Guest Suite and Public Space Enhancements

Crystal, the luxury cruise line known for its elevated guest experiences, has announced that Crystal Symphony will enter drydock in November 2025 for a three-week refurbishment. The planned upgrades will focus on revitalizing key guest suites and several public areas to align with the brand’s refined aesthetic and operational standards.
Suite Enhancements on Deck 10
Two categories of guest accommodations—Aquamarine and Sapphire Classic suites—will undergo a complete redesign. While the current layouts and the signature spacious bathrooms with separate bathtub and shower configurations will remain intact, the suites will be fitted with all-new furnishings and soft goods. These updates will mirror the design language established during Crystal Symphony’s 2023 transformation. The suite refurbishments will be executed by De Wave Group, a Genoa-based marine interior design specialist.
Major Public Space Updates
Several high-traffic public areas are set to receive modern aesthetic and functional upgrades:
Atrium and Crystal Cove

Under the direction of Gerolamo Scorza, the central atrium will be reimagined to offer a more fluid and modern environment. Notable changes include:
- Removal of the existing water feature
- Relocation of the piano
- Addition of a two-story mosaic by DeCastelli
- Installation of a new chandelier
- Updated reception area with marble desk and backlit panel
- Refreshed columns, ceilings, and lighting
- A newly designed Crystal Cove bar with a modern counter and shelving
Stair Lobbies and Starlite Club
Stair lobbies on Decks 5 and 6 will be refined with updated ceiling structures, enhanced lighting, and new brass finishes. The Starlite Club, a guest favorite, will see a subtle redesign of the dance floor and a new ceiling centerpiece, preserving its lively character while enhancing its visual appeal. Trident Maritime Systems will lead these updates.
Other Notable Improvements
- Deck 5 Guest Restrooms: Aesthetic upgrades with new flooring, wall finishes, and countertops
- Bistro: Replacement of wooden flooring for a refreshed ambiance

Technical Upgrades for Sustainability and Performance
Beyond the guest-facing areas, Crystal Symphony will undergo significant technical overhauls to support long-term performance and sustainability goals. Highlights include:
- Full overhaul of the fin stabilizers’ hydraulic system
- Renewal of evaporators
- Installation of biodiesel-compatible fuel and oil purifiers
- Replacement of extensive fresh-water piping
- Renovation of galleys, cold rooms, and provision areas
- Servicing of generator auxiliaries and targeted steel replacements
Looking Ahead: Return to Service
Crystal Symphony is expected to return to service hosting the line’s second annual Wellness Retreat voyages. These sailings will also debut a new production show titled Club Nights.
