Regent, Oceania and Norwegian Cruise Line Loyalty Programs Now Match Status

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. announced that the Regent, Oceania and Norwegian Cruise Line loyalty programs will change next month. Beginning with voyages on October 15, 2025, loyalty status will be matched across the company’s three cruise brands. The cruise company said that passengers “have their loyalty tier honored at the closest corresponding tier across all three brands on a per-cruise basis.”

Each program offers different rewards, so benefits may not translate exactly. Norwegian includes priority boarding and discounts. Oceania offers recognition events and laundry. Regent emphasizes exclusivity and elevated service. The new structure keeps the experience comparable even when switching brands.

For the company, the change encourages cross-brand exploration among their diverse demographic of customers. Say, an Oceania devotee would more enjoy a multi-generational family cruise aboard an NCL ship, when provided with a little additional recognition.

Competitive Landscape for Cruise Loyalty

The expansion strengthens the Norwegian Cruise Line loyalty programs as a competitive differentiator. In the past, cruise lines usually kept loyalty systems separate. Royal Caribbean Group launched a status match program of their own last year, linking Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Silversea. Carnival Corporation, by contrast, does not recognize status across any of its brands.

This update comes as cruise loyalty programs are shifting across the industry. Carnival Cruise Line will replace its VIFP Club with a spend-based model in 2026. MSC Cruises continues to stand out with status matching from outside cruise and travel programs. Virgin Voyages has also entered the field with its new Sailing Club.
