Silversea Completes Silver Muse Refurbishment, Adds S.A.L.T.

Silversea has completed a major refurbishment of Silver Muse. The project marks the ship’s first dry dock since 2017.

One of the biggest changes is the addition of S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar. These venues introduce Silversea’s destination-focused S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) culinary program. Silver Muse is now the fifth Silversea ship to offer the concept.

Adding S.A.L.T. required more than a menu update. The installation involved new galley and bar spaces, specialized equipment, and changes to onboard layouts. The work was completed during dry dock and required updated ventilation, utilities, and crew training.

The S.A.L.T. concept connects passengers to each destination through food and drink. Menus change throughout the voyage and reflect the regions the ship visits. Dishes and cocktails draw inspiration from local recipes, flavors, and traditions.

Silversea says the experience goes beyond dining rooms. Onboard tastings and curated shore experiences invite passengers to explore markets, producers, and regional food culture. Dining becomes part of the journey, not just something enjoyed at sea.

More New To Muse

Several public spaces were refreshed during the refurbishment. Dolce Vita, the ship’s main social lounge, now offers an Italian-style aperitivo experience. It’s designed for relaxed pre-dinner drinks, live music, and conversation.

Arts Café also received updates. The café-style venue now serves enhanced pastries and premium tea selections. It offers a quiet space for specialty coffees and light bites during the day.

Other dining venues were updated as well. La Terrazza, the ship’s primary Italian restaurant, introduced a tableside martini cart. The update adds a social touch while keeping classic Italian dishes at the center.

The Grill expanded its poolside menu with refreshed favorites. In-suite dining was also updated with a new dinner menu and all-day options served by butlers.

Silver Muse returned to service in late December. The ship sailed a 14-night Mediterranean voyage from Barcelona to Lisbon. Passengers on that sailing were the first to experience the upgrades.

New recreational features were also added onboard. These include a pickleball court, a putting green, and a simulator experience. The pool deck was also refreshed with updated furnishings.

Furthermore, the refurbishment introduced a new suite category called Medallion Suites. These suites are designed as a mid-tier upgrade option. Each suite includes a private veranda and a spacious bathroom.

Bathrooms feature a double vanity, a bathtub, and a separate walk-in shower. The layout also includes a secluded bedroom area with a king-size bed. The design offers more space and privacy without moving to top-tier suites.
