Final Wave Week Brings Few, but Material Cruise Deal Changes

We’re now in the final week of the official Wave Season, and if you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed that most cruise lines have kept their offers largely unchanged. That’s not always how this period plays out. Late Wave often brings a final round of stronger discounts. This year feels more measured.

A few lines have enhanced their offers. Some have scaled back or reshaped them. And others are already shifting into post-Wave spring campaigns that stretch into early summer.

If you’re still shopping, this is less about waiting for a universal price drop and more about understanding where the real changes are happening.

The Lines That Changed Their Offers

Let’s start with one of the most unexpected additions. Holland America introduced a Pendleton blanket for the first 100 Alaska bookings during a limited March window. It’s not a major financial incentive, but it’s thoughtful, a little different, and closely tied to the destination.

On the other hand, Uniworld delivered one of the clearest upgrades. The line increased its headline savings to up to 50% off and extended its booking window through April. If you’ve been considering a river cruise, this is one of the few cases where waiting actually worked in your favor.

Seabourn also enhanced its offer, adding a short-term air credit of up to $1,000.

Princess is the clearest example of changing structure. It replaced its earlier Wave promotion with a short, three-day “Double Instant Savings” event. You saw stronger headline savings, but with a tighter booking window and less flexibility. At the same time, the offer continued to emphasize Alaska cruisetours, showing a clear focus on specific itineraries.

Speaking of Alaska, Virgin has also redirected their onboard credit toward Brilliant Lady sailings to the last frontier (from New York and LA departures). That move signals a more targeted approach, focusing on where the line wants demand rather than broadening the offer.

And then there are lines that are clearly ramping down their Wave Season push.

Scenic and Emerald Cruises both introduced “March Savings Boost” offers—$200 per person on select sailings—replacing earlier Wave promotions that included BOGO-style fares and savings of up to $2,000. Compared with those previous offers, the current version represents a shift away from peak Wave incentives as the season winds down.

The Lines That Stayed the Course

While those changes stand out, they’re the exception—not the rule.

Most cruise lines have kept their Wave Season offers largely intact through the final stretch. That includes a wide range of brands across ocean, luxury, and river segments.

If you’ve been tracking deals from lines like Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Viking, or Regent Seven Seas Cruises, what you’re seeing now likely looks very similar to what was available earlier this month.

In most cases, those offers follow a familiar structure. You’re typically seeing a mix of fare discounts, onboard credit, and bundled inclusions. For contemporary lines, that often means reduced fares paired with perks like drink packages, Wi-Fi, or free third and fourth passengers. In the luxury segment, the value leans more on what’s already included, with additional savings or air credits layered on top.

What hasn’t changed is just as important as what has. Booking windows have largely remained the same, and there haven’t been widespread increases in headline discounts. These are the same core Wave offers, simply carried through to the final week.

For you, that consistency matters. It suggests many cruise lines set their strategy earlier in the season—and saw no need to adjust it late.

Before You Dive Into the Deals

Below, you’ll find our latest Wave Season deals table, which we’ve updated throughout the season. You can also explore the full timeline of offers and earlier coverage on our dedicated Wave Season Deals Hub.

Our methodology focuses on tracking publicly advertised offers across major cruise lines. We compare headline discounts, added perks, booking windows, and structural changes to promotions. When a line introduces a short-term flash sale or limited overlay, we note that separately to give you a clearer picture of what’s truly changing.

It’s also important to keep in mind that not all deals are directly comparable. Some cruise lines bundle more into the fare, while others rely on add-ons like onboard credit or airfare incentives. Availability varies by sailing, and the highest advertised savings typically apply to select departures.

Sunset for Deal Season, But We Keep Watch

As Wave Season 2026 comes to a close, the takeaway is surprisingly simple.

This wasn’t a year where waiting guaranteed a better deal. In many cases, the strongest offers appeared earlier—or became more targeted rather than more generous as the season progressed.

If you’re still deciding, the opportunity isn’t gone. It just requires a bit more focus. The smartest move now is to look closely at the lines and itineraries that actually improved, rather than expecting a last-minute surge across the board.

And if you’ve already booked, there’s a good chance you timed it well.

Looking ahead, the focus now shifts to the upcoming Europe and Alaska seasons. At the same time, there’s a level of uncertainty in the background. Cruise lines and travelers alike are watching daily developments as multi-regional geopolitical instability continues to evolve.

It’s still too early to know how—or if—those factors will meaningfully impact pricing, itineraries, or demand. That picture will likely become clearer over the next few weeks.

For now, Wave Season 2026 ends not with a surge, but with a transition. Cruise lines are moving into the next phase, and the story is far from over.
