Cunard Details Renovation Plans for Queen Victoria

Cunard has announced plans for an extensive dry dock renovation of its ship Queen Victoria this fall at Damen Shiprepair in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The 2,000-guest ship is scheduled for dry dock from October 17 to November 5, 2026, and is scheduled to return to service on November 7.

Queen Victoria‘s signature spaces will be revitalized, with a refreshed Grand Lobby atrium that will reinforce the timeless elegance that Cunard is known for. The iconic Queens Room which hosts live music, afternoon tea, and gala evenings, will also be reimagined.

Cunard’s Grill Suites experience will also be refreshed and elevated. Queens Grill and Princess Grill Suites will be enhanced with new furnishings, detailing, and design. In addition, eight more Britannia staterooms will be added, including three from a new premium category called Britannia Deluxe Oceanview which feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The new cabins open for booking today, July 20, for voyages sailing from November 11, 2026.

Reflecting the growing trend in wellness travel, Queen Victoria will also introduce The Pavilion Wellness Café — the third vessel in the Cunard fleet to feature the space following its launch on Queen Anne in 2024 and its addition on Queen Elizabeth in 2025. The wellness-focused venue will serve breakfast, lunch, and daytime dining with a menu focused on plant-based cuisine along with sustainably sourced meat, fish, and dairy.

There are currently four ships in the Cunard fleet: Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and the newest ship, Queen Anne, which debuted in May 2024.
