Holland America’s Zuiderdam to Add New Staterooms & Grand Dutch Café
Holland America has revealed the second ship that will be undergoing major renovations as part of its Holland America Evolution project: Zuiderdam. Among the changes will be the addition of a reimagined Pinnacle Suite, two Bridgeview Suites, 14 Vista Suites, and 32 Solo Verandah staterooms. The popular Grand Dutch Café will also be added to the ship.
New Accommodations
Accommodations throughout the ship will be refreshed, with new staterooms and suite categories added as well.
Bridgeview Suites
Two suites located above the bridge will offer sweeping, forward-facing views with wraparound windows, a private balcony, and distinct living and sleeping spaces. Natural light and scenery views will be emphasized, with lots of windows keeping the space bright and the focus on what’s surrounding the ship.
Solo Verandahs
These purpose-built staterooms have been designed specifically for solo travelers, each featuring a private balcony and thoughtfully-designed living space tailored to one guest.
Vista Suites
A guest-favorite category from Pinnacle Class ships, Vista Suites offer spacious, light-filled accommodations with a sitting area, oversized windows, and a private balcony.
Reimagined Pinnacle Suite
The most expansive accommodations on board are the Pinnacle Suites. With the renovations, these staterooms will be redesigned to offer an elevated, residential-style experience with generous living space, refined finishes, and panoramic ocean views.
Grand Dutch Café
The renovation project will also see the addition of the Grand Dutch Café, expanding the Pinnacle Class experience to more ships across the fleet. Rooted in the company’s Dutch heritage, the venue is designed as a welcoming, all-day gathering place where guests can enjoy a morning espresso, an afternoon beer or aperitif, or a light bite in the evening.
With comfortable seating and an approachable menu, the Grand Dutch Café will be the largest introduced as part of the Evolution program.
