Monsters of Rock 2026 Unveils Final 45+ Artist Lineup

The Monsters of Rock Cruise has announced its complete artist lineup for the fifteenth annual voyage, set to depart Miami on April 12, 2026 aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Joy.

The five-day, five-night full-ship charter will visit Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, carrying fans of hard rock and heavy metal across multiple stages with more than 45 performing artists.

Black Label Society, Night Ranger, The Darkness, Queensrÿche, Stryper, and Symphony X lead the bill for the sailing dubbed “Rock The Nations.” The roster also features Y&T, Slaughter, Steven Adler, D-A-D, Great White, Lita Ford, Quiet Riot, British Lion, Nelson, Vixen, Loudness, Crazy Lixx, Faster Pussycat, and dozens more spanning classic metal, glam, and hard rock.

Additional acts include The London Quireboys, Hardcore Superstar, Dangerous Toys, Killer Dwarfs, Steelheart, Tora Tora, Crashdïet, Black ‘N Blue, Enuff Z’Nuff, Spread Eagle, The Raven Age, and others rounding out the full-ship experience.

Beyond the Music

Promoter On the Blue Cruises has built the event into more than a concert series. The 2026 voyage will feature artist meet-and-greet photo experiences, fan Q&A sessions, Gong Show Karaoke, a guitar competition called “So You Think You Can Shred,” Cooking with Rock Stars, a new cast for Painting with Rock Stars, and a comedy showcase billed as Comedy Punchlines and Backlines. Theme nights are also planned throughout the sailing.

The mix of structured programming and casual artist access has been a defining feature of the cruise since its debut in 2012, giving attendees a level of interaction rarely found at traditional music festivals.

The Ship: Norwegian Joy

This marks the second time in the event’s history that the cruise will sail aboard Norwegian Joy. The ship features a two-level go-kart racetrack (the Norwegian Joy Speedway), a 180-degree Observation Lounge, open-air dining along The Waterfront promenade, and the Thermal Suite at Mandara Spa. Dining options range from the complimentary main restaurants to specialty venues including Q Texas Smokehouse and Cagney’s Steakhouse.

Norwegian Joy accommodates a range of stateroom categories, making it a solid fit for a full-ship charter that needs to house both budget-conscious fans and those looking for suite-level accommodations.

Two Ports of Call

The first stop is Puerto Plata, a historic port city on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Shore excursion options include the cable car ride up Monte Isabel de Torres, beach time at Soúsa Beach, and cultural exploration through the town’s colonial-era architecture and local cuisine.

The second port is Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island in the Berry Islands chain of the Bahamas. The 250-acre island is undergoing a significant upgrade ahead of the 2026 sailing season, offering snorkeling, kayaking, WaveRunner rides, ziplining, and complimentary dining at Abaco Taco.
