Oceania Cruises Opens Bookings For 2028 & 2029 Seasons
Oceania Cruises has announced its 2028 and 2029 cruise schedule, which features over 230 itineraries in regions around the world. Voyages will range from seven-night week-long sailings to epic 180-day world cruises that visit multiple continents and dozens upon dozens of ports. The schedule also includes over 60 overnight port stays, allowing guests to experience the nightlife in select destinations.
Bookings opened Wednesday, June 17. If you’re thinking it’s unusual for a cruise line to open two full future seasons for booking at once, you’d be right. But Oceania says that it’s doing the double launch to give guests and travel agents more time and flexibility to “plan their journeys well ahead.”

2028 and 2029 Season Highlights
Over 60 Overnight Stays
Throughout 2028 and 2029, Oceania ships will stay overnight in port 60 times, in iconic cities like Copenhagen, Lisbon, Bangkok, and Bali, as well as in smaller ports like Seville and Malé. Late-evening departures and overnight stays are popular with Oceania Cruises travelers, and allow for even more opportunity to explore the culture ashore.
Oceania Riviera
Oceania Riviera will return to Alaska in summer 2028 before transitioning to Asia-focused sailings. The vessel will spend a lot of time in Japan, visiting lesser-known ports including Kagoshima, Ishigaki, and Miyazaki — alongside calls to popular places like Tokyo and Osaka.
Oceania Aurelia’s Inaugural World Cruises
Welcoming less than 500 passengers, Oceania Aurelia will operate her first 180-Day Around the World voyages in 2028 and 2029 out of Miami and Los Angeles, respectively, before concluding in New York City.
Oceania Aurelia is the current Oceania Nautica. The luxury ship will undergo a massive renovation next year, emerging in late 2027 with the new name. The ship is being purposefully redesigned to operate long world cruises.
Oceania Allura’s Extended Mediterranean Winter
Oceania Allura will return for a second winter season in the Mediterranean, exploring Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Spain from November through March. With over 80 Mediterranean itineraries, this will mark Oceania’s most diverse range of cruises in the region to date.

Other Regions
Of course, Oceania’s 2028 and 2029 seasons will explore other regions as well. Oceania Aurelia will operate voyages in the Baltic and Scandinavia, while Oceania Sonata and Oceania Vista will anchor the line’s Caribbean schedule.
In Asia, Oceania Marina and Oceania Riviera will operate voyages, with an emphasis on Japan’s smaller coastal ports alongside its large cities. Oceania Marina will explore Australia and New Zealand, while Oceania Vista will explore the eastern Canadian and New England coast.

Seven repositioning crossings will round out the season, with a 15-day Canary Isles Autumn Passage itinerary from Lisbon to Miami as a highlight.
