Margaritaville at Sea’s Newest Ship is Headed to Texas

Margaritaville at Sea has announced that its newest ship, Beachcomber, will sail from Galveston, Texas starting in October 2027. From the Lone Star State, the vessel will offer four to seven-night voyages to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Bahamas.

Ports that Beachcomber will visit out of Galveston include Aruba, Key West, Curaçao, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay, Belize, Progreso, Roatán, Cozumel, Grand Bahama, and Bimini. The ship will also call at Veracruz, Mexico, which is a new port for the Galveston cruise market.

“Texas knows how to have a good time, so bringing Margaritaville at Sea to Galveston feels like a natural fit,” said Christopher Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville at Sea. “With Beachcomber, we’re giving guests an incredible ship and more choices for where their vacation can take them, including places they simply can’t reach on other cruises from Galveston. It’s a chance to see more, go farther and make every getaway a little different, all while experiencing the Margaritaville lifestyle at sea.”

Beachcomber will feature Margaritaville at Sea’s most expansive onboard experience, with 15 new experiences created just for the ship. Of course, a variety of passenger-favorite amenities and venues will also be found on board, including 5 o’Clock Somewhere, Hemisphere Dancer, Cheeseburger in Paradise, License to Chill, and more.

It will also include the cruise industry’s first artist-designed live music venue, called Same Boat created in partnership with Zac Brown. Designed to capture the energy of a Zac Brown Band show, the venue will pair live music with elevated cocktails in a space inspired by Brown’s musical influences and signature style. Same Boat will also offer a specially-curated roster of talent that is uniquely selected for the Texas market.

Beachcomber is set to debut this January, first sailing from PortMiami. From Florida, the vessel will operate seven to 10-night voyages to the southern and eastern Caribbean.
