Crystal Launches “That Crystal Feeling” Global Brand Campaign

Crystal has launched “That Crystal Feeling,” a new global brand campaign that sells the experience of sailing with the line instead of the destinations its ships visit. The campaign began October 1, 2026, and runs a full year through September 30, 2027, with creative running on connected TV, digital and online video, print, digital-out-of-home, and social media in global markets.

The target is the luxury cruise shopper: returning Crystal guests and first-timers researching 2027 sailings. The shift is in the pitch. Most cruise advertising leads with ports. Crystal is leading with time. The campaign follows one day and night aboard, built from sunlight, sea, dining, conversation, music, and quiet moments, in a dreamlike style the line says is meant to feel like a memory rather than an advertisement.

“Today, we are surrounded by the idea that we need to do more, see more and make the most of every moment. With ‘That Crystal Feeling,’ we wanted to celebrate the luxury of doing the opposite,” said Peter Chipchase, chief brand officer at A&K Travel Group. “It’s the freedom to slow down, to wander without a plan, to linger a little longer and to let the world unfold around you. Ultimately, it’s about how Crystal makes you feel, not where our ships take you.“

The campaign’s premise is simple: Crystal is not just a way to see the world but a place to step out of it. With every detail handled, guests set their own pace, whether that means lingering over a meal, watching the world go by, or doing nothing at all. The creative was developed by Crystal’s in-house team. “We wanted the campaign to feel less like a traditional travel advertisement and more like a memory,” Chipchase added. “A collection of impressions, sensations and emotions that transport you back to how it felt to be there.”

The timing points to a dual purpose. Crystal sails two ships, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. A year-long global campaign across television, digital, print, and outdoor screens is a heavy media commitment for a two-ship line, and the calendar explains part of it. The campaign covers the early-2027 wave season and overlaps the selling period for the inaugural 2028 season of Crystal Grace, the line’s first new ocean ship in 25 years, which enters service in June 2028 carrying 650 guests in all-suite, all-veranda accommodations. A second newbuild is already financed. The campaign sells the fleet Crystal has now, and it primes the market for the fleet Crystal is building.

It is also a competitive statement. The luxury tier has spent the last two years competing on who has the newest ships and the most immersive itineraries. Crystal is changing the subject. No ports appear in the campaign framing. The positioning lines up with the line’s recent product moves, including its 2027 Wellness at Sea retreats built around mindfulness and sensory workshops, suggesting Crystal is consolidating around calm as its differentiator.

For travelers, the campaign changes nothing about fares, itineraries, or the onboard product. It is a brand signal. A line committing to global media at this scale for 12 months is spending for growth. Luxury shoppers should expect to see the creative widely through next September.
