Celebrity Cruises’ 2028 Galapagos Expeditions Are Now Open for Booking
Snorkeling alongside sea lions, watching giant tortoises lumber across volcanic rock, kayaking next to sea turtles. The Galapagos has lived on my bucket list for years, and it’s one of those experiences I fully plan to have before I can check it off. Celebrity Cruises just made it a little easier to start planning, with 2028 Galapagos expeditions on
Celebrity Flora now open for booking

Celebrity Flora is a 100-passenger mega-yacht built specifically for the Galapagos. It’s not a repurposed ship or a downsized ocean liner. The whole thing was designed around this one destination, and it carries a Forbes Travel Guide rating to back that up. With over 50+ cruises under my belt, I can tell you that kind of purpose-built approach makes a real difference in how a sailing feels.
What the 2028 Season Looks Like
There are more than 50 all-inclusive sailings scheduled for 2028, with itineraries running seven, 10, 11, or 16 nights. The shorter options cover inner and outer loop routes through the archipelago, while the extended itineraries add land-based experiences in Quito, Ecuador, and even Peru, including Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu.
Every sailing is led by Galapagos National Park expert naturalists, which means you’re not just looking at wildlife from the deck. You’re getting guided excursions that actually teach you something about the ecosystems you’re walking through.

The All-Inclusive Experience
Celebrity Flora keeps things elevated without feeling stuffy. The ship offers all-inclusive accommodations, locally sourced cuisine with a global influence, and some genuinely unique touches. One that caught my eye: glamping on board under the stars. I’ve done a lot of different cruise experiences, and that’s not something I’ve seen elsewhere.
Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, framed the Galapagos sailings as both a luxury experience and a conservation effort. It’s clear the brand is trying to do more than just ferry tourists through a protected ecosystem.

The Conservation Angle
This is where things get interesting beyond the typical cruise pitch. Celebrity Cruises runs a program called “Rewilding Galapagos” in partnership with Galapagos National Park. On every itinerary, guests visit a Scalesia reforestation area and plant native seedlings with park naturalists. So far, they’ve helped restore over 86 acres, and the initiative is expected to hit 100,000 trees planted during the 2028 season.
The seedlings come from the Hernán Carrión Nursery, which was recently renovated and is sponsored by the Celebrity Cruises Galapagos Fund. That fund has been around since 2005, supporting local conservation and community projects across the islands. Say what you will about cruise lines and sustainability. At least this one is putting guests in the dirt, literally planting trees, rather than just slapping a green label on a brochure.
Sign Me Up!
I’ve sailed with Celebrity before, and their hospitality is consistently some of the best in the industry. Pairing that level of service with a destination like the Galapagos, on a ship that was purpose-built for the region, is a combination I find hard to argue with. The extended itineraries that include Machu Picchu are especially tempting. That’s two bucket list destinations in a single trip.
If the Galapagos has been on your radar, 2028 bookings are live now. You can book at celebrity.com, call 1-888-751-9303, or go through a travel advisor.
I’ll be watching for deals on this one. And if I make it on board, you’ll hear about it on the YouTube channel.
