Regent’s Explorer Class Ships to Reduce Capacity, Add New Suites
The Explorer class ships are getting an upgrade! Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced today that it will be reimagining select accommodations aboard Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor, and Seven Seas Grandeur following dry docks in 2027 and 2028.
The vessels will introduce larger suites, a brand-new suite category, and actually decrease the passenger capacity on board. Each vessel will sail with a new maximum of just 344 suites, down from 373 suites; 29 suites will be eliminated to provide more space aboard the ships.
Veranda Suites
Veranda Suites will be expanded into the largest entry-level suites in the ultra-luxury cruise category, alongside the Deluxe Veranda Suites on Regent’s Prestige class ships. Every redesigned Veranda Suite will include walk-in closets, double vanities, and spacious balconies. They’ll come in at 415 to 464 square feet each, up from 307 square feet.
New Horizon Penthouse Suites
Horizon Penthouse Suites are a new accommodation category that will first debut aboard Seven Seas Prestige when it begins sailing in December. They’ll also be incorporated into the Explorer class ships. Horizon Penthouse Suites will range from 616 to 722 square feet and include oversized balconies, a bedroom, a full bath suite, and a spacious living area.
Distinctive Suites
Coming in at 821 to 918 square feet, three additional Distinctive Suites will be added to each of Regent’s Explorer class ships. They feature a spacious bedroom with a king-size Elite Slumber Bed, a spacious sitting and dining area, one and a half bathrooms, and a large balcony. The suites come with a variety of amenities including fresh orchid arrangements, cashmere blankets, in-suite caviar service, a selection of pillows to choose from, and the services of a personal butler.
Accommodation upgrades will begin with Seven Seas Splendor when she enters dry dock in November 2027. In April 2028, Seven Seas Explorer will undergo dry dock, followed by Seven Seas Grandeur in October.
