What Really Happens on Virgin Voyages? Passengers Tell All

If you know anything about Virgin Voyages, you’ve probably heard the stories.

It’s adults only, it’s a little more open-minded than your typical cruise line, and people definitely seem comfortable letting loose.

But how crazy does it actually get?

I was scrolling through a Virgin Voyages Facebook group when someone asked passengers to share the craziest thing they had ever witnessed onboard. And some of these answers were hilarious.

We’re talking Fireball shots for an entire pool, very loud neighbors at 3 a.m., topless sunbathing, swingers and one Scarlet Night dinner story that I definitely was not expecting.

I’ve sailed Virgin five times myself, so naturally I had a few stories — and opinions — of my own.

Here’s what passengers had to say.

Now, here’s the thing: I don’t want this video to make Virgin sound like one giant floating free-for-all.

It’s not.

For me, Virgin is one of my favorite cruise lines because it feels different. I love the food, the bars, the people and the fact that it’s adults only. People generally seem comfortable being themselves, and I like that.

Does that occasionally result in some pretty wild stories? Absolutely.

But that’s also part of what makes the Virgin Voyages experience so interesting.

And after five cruises with them, I can tell you this: you’re probably going to come home with at least one good story.
