Uniworld Unveils 50th Anniversary President’s Cruise Aboard New S.S. Emilie
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is continuing its 50th anniversary celebration with a special President’s Cruise sailing in 2026. This exclusive voyage will take place aboard a brand-new ship and introduces a new Danube itinerary designed specifically for the milestone year.
The Golden Anniversary President’s Cruise departs on October 23, 2026 and will be hosted by Uniworld President and CEO Ellen Bettridge. The sailing will debut the Vienna & Capital Cities of the Danube itinerary onboard the new S.S. Emilie, which launches for the 2026 season. Guests can expect hosted events, curated excursions, and surprise experiences created only for this one sailing.
This announcement builds directly on Uniworld’s broader anniversary momentum. Last week, we explored how the brand reached its 50-year milestone and what that legacy means for luxury river cruising today. Rather than marking the anniversary with a single celebration, Uniworld is using 2026 to introduce meaningful new experiences that point clearly toward the future.
A President’s Cruise With Direct Guest Access
President’s Cruises have long played a key role in Uniworld’s lineup. However, hosting the 2026 sailing aboard a new Super Ship raises the bar. Guests will have multiple opportunities to interact with Bettridge throughout the journey while enjoying exclusive onboard programming.
According to Bettridge, traveling alongside guests remains one of her favorite parts of the role. Hosting the President’s Cruise during the company’s 50th anniversary year adds extra significance, especially with a new ship and itinerary launching at the same time.
Introducing the S.S. Emilie

The S.S. Emilie marks Uniworld’s first new ship build in five years. The design draws inspiration from Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and takes its name from Emilie Flöge, his muse and life partner.

The ship will carry 154 guests and features bold colors, gold accents, and Art Nouveau design throughout public spaces and staterooms. Onboard amenities include Uniworld’s signature restaurant, a lounge, and a bar. In addition, the ship introduces a new accommodation option. Guests can reserve a spacious two-bedroom suite by combining a Grand Suite with an adjoining Deluxe French Balcony stateroom.
A Danube Itinerary Focused on Capital Cities
The 10-day Vienna & Capital Cities of the Danube itinerary targets travelers who prefer major cultural hubs over smaller towns. The journey begins with a luxury hotel stay in Vienna. From there, guests will sail to Budapest, Belgrade, and Bratislava.
Throughout the itinerary, travelers will encounter medieval history, grand architecture, and world-class art. These stops highlight Uniworld’s strength in immersive, guided experiences that focus on culture and destination depth.
S.S. Emilie Pricing and Booking Details
Pricing for the 2026 President’s Cruise starts at $7,249 per person. Given the hosted nature of the sailing, the anniversary significance, and the debut of a new ship and itinerary, demand is expected to be strong.
As Uniworld continues rolling out announcements tied to its 50th anniversary, this President’s Cruise stands out as a defining moment. It celebrates the brand’s past while setting a clear course for what comes next.
