While pulling into Cabo San Lucas this morning on the Carnival Firenze, we were joined by Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas. Both ships dropped anchor just off the coast, with tenders shuttling guests back and forth throughout the day.

For those unfamiliar, Ovation of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class ships—massive, high-tech vessels that carry over 4,000 guests at full capacity. It’s packed with unique features like the North Star observation capsule, which takes you 300 feet above sea level for panoramic views, and SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space at sea complete with bumper cars, roller skating, and trapeze lessons.

Seeing both ships anchored off Cabo created quite the sight: Firenze, Carnival’s Italian-inspired ship with its Florence-themed design, alongside the sleek, modern Ovation. Cabo was buzzing with activity as thousands of passengers from both lines explored the marina, beaches, and excursions.
